Walkthrough is now Snaply! With the rebrand, come some exciting new changes.

We are excited to announce that Walkthrough is rebranding to Snaply! There are many exciting changes that will accompany the rebrand, including new products, improved quality, updated pricing, faster customer service, and more!

1. New Name

The name Walkthrough served the company well for many years. Originally founded as a company that provided 3D tours, the name Walkthrough was a great fit. However, time has passed and the needs of our customers have evolved. We are more than just a 3D tour provider. We are your partner for all of your essential real estate media: photos, drone products, floor plans, videos, and virtual tours. We want our name to embody more than just 3D tours or "walkthroughs."

And with that, we decided it was time to rebrand...so, say hello to Snaply

We chose the name Snaply because:

  • It is short and memorable.
  • It is easy to find! You won't confuse Snaply with other photography services.
  • It has a connotation with photography, but doesn't pigeonhole the company into one specific real estate photography service. 
  • It is cheerful, fun, and representative of our team's personality.

2. New Look

To complement our new name, we wanted to freshen up our branding! Our goal was to have our logo, colors, and typography feel clean, simple, and sharp. Here is what we came up with:

The Snaply logo resembles the opening and closing of a camera lens, while the colors pay tribute to the blue tones of Walkthrough's old brand. We hope you like it as much as we do!

3. New Products

You asked and we listened! We have heard from many of our clients that there were a few products that they really wanted...so we added them! Here are some of the highlights:

Floor Plans - Prior to this new launch, the only way to get a floor plan was to order a 3D tour and get a floor plan created from that 3D tour. But what if you did not want the 3D tour? Well you had to get it before. Not anymore! You can now order a floor plan on its own. Our photographers have been trained to capture the exact room measurements and create a beautiful floor plan that is far easier for clients to understand than those created from a 3D tour. Take a look at this example:

Video - Videos have been highly requested by many of our clients. We are thrilled to introduce Snaply's Video Walkthrough - an extremely affordable, full-motion video. In this product, viewers are taken on a tour of the property, giving them a great overview of the listing's layout and unique selling features. The video is up to 2 minutes long and includes music. If you need a longer video just let us know and we can work with you - just ask!)

Virtual Twilight - We originally launched this a few months ago. But we have now upgraded the final product and it looks awesome. Did you know that twilight photos attract more clicks than regular daytime photos? Use this to your advantage! Order a virtual twilight and drive more traffic to your listing!

4. New Pricing

With the launch of Snaply, we are updating our pricing structure.

Shoots booked after April 4th, 2023, will be billed on a per-photo pricing system for photo shoots. 3D tours and floor plans will continue to be billed based on square footage. There are 3 reasons that we made this change:

  1. In order to fairly compensate the photographers. Simply put, the rates originally charged did not allow us to pay our photographers as they should be paid.
  2. To increase product quality. We will be upgrading our editing and will be providing the highest quality products to our customers. In order to do this, we have to bill based on the quantity of photos or size of the end product. This allows our photographers and editing team to produce the best results...ultimately benefiting YOU!
  3. To respond to client feedback. Many of our clients have said they do not like having to sift through tons of delivered photos. Therefore, we will now be providing a specific number of curated photos. Our photographers have been trained on how to capture the best photos of a listing and can let you know the number of photos the listing needs. You can tell the photographer to stick to the exact number ordered or to take as many as they think is needed.

In order to deliver on these promises, we've updated our processes. Our professional photographers have been trained on a new shooting style and we've made drastic improvements to our editing process. 

The changes may take a while for our long-time customers to get used to...and we get that! We are here to work with you and make the change as easy as possible, so please reach out at anytime with questions, concerns, or feedback.

5. New Shooting Style 

Our photographers truly are the best in the business and now they get to show off their incredible skills with our new shooting style.

By changing our pricing structure to a per-photo system, we are empowering our photographers to curate the best photos of the property. Instead of taking 'unlimited' photos and delivering more photos than you need (leaving you to do the hard work of sorting out the best shots), our photographers have been expertly trained to take the best shots of each type of room, providing you with a fully curated set of photos. 

So how does it work?

In most cases, if you order 25 photos, our photographers will take the best 25 photos of the property. But don't worry - there is room for adjustment! Our goal is to deliver the photos that you need to sell the property. If you ordered 25 photos and our professional photographer thinks that 28 is the perfect number to capture all the critical details...that's no problem! The photographer will get your permission (either on-site, by phone, or by text) and capture those extra photos that are needed. Each extra photo is $5 and will be automatically added to your invoice. If the photographer can't reach you, they will stick with the number of photos on the original order.

Tip: While we highly recommend that you attend the shoot, we know that is not always possible. If you can't attend the shoot, be aware that the photographer might text or call to get permission to add a few photos. If they do not reach you, they will stick with the number of photos you originally ordered. If you're fine with extras, and know that you will not be available at the time of the shoot, please add this as a note on the order.

Have a special request?

No problem! If you have a special photo request, or just want to make sure the photographer captures a specific feature that is important to your client, then let us know! You can do this in any of the following ways:

  1. Come to the shoot! This is by far the best way to guarantee that you get every shot you want. You can either work with the photographer as they go room-by-room, or simply let them do their thing and review the photos with them before they leave. (Note: the photo review is done on the back of the camera, with the photographer, on-site. You will get to see the angle and subject matter.)
  2. Leave a note in the comments when you place your order.
  3. Forgot to leave a note? Simply email or call our customer support team before the shoot, and they will relay the information to the photographer. 

6. New Editing

To put it bluntly, our final output was not meeting our standards. Sure it was acceptable, but we strive to be the best. Our new editing will blow away the competition. Without getting too deep into the editing jargon, we will now have enhanced color correction, better distortion correction, brightness controls, window masking, blue sky replacement, and a ton of other technical upgrades. In fact, we have added AI into our workflow so the editing will continue to get better and evolve!

But that's not all! We have added a dedicated Quality Assurance Team to our Snaply family. This means that every photo shoot will have multiple sets of human eyes checking to make sure everything is absolutely perfect before it get's released to the client. This means better results and fewer errors. 

What's Staying the Same?

While a lot of changes are being made, the foundation of the company is staying the same. Our commitment to our customers, photographers, employees, and partners remains the same.
  • You will still be able to book all of your favorite photographers!
  • Our dedicated customer support team will continue to provide excellent service, 7 days a week
  • All of your account details (including log ins, order history, tour links etc.) will remain the same
