What is a real twilight shoot?

For a real twilight shoot, the photographer returns to the property and takes photos at approximately 15 minutes after sunset.

This timing allows the sky to become darker while there is still enough natural light to clearly show the property. The goal is not to capture the sun setting, but to photograph the property during the period shortly after sunset.

A real twilight shoot accurately captures the property's interior and exterior lighting, as well as landscape lighting.

For the best results, please make sure that:

• All interior lights are turned on
• All appropriate exterior lights are turned on
• Landscape lighting is turned on, if available
• Flood lights are turned off, as they can cause excessive glare in the photos

What is a virtual twilight?

A virtual twilight is created using one of your daytime exterior photos. Our editing team digitally transforms the image to make it look like it was photographed during twilight.

Virtual twilight photos can still produce beautiful and dramatic results, but they are not as accurate as a real twilight shoot. Because the original photo was taken during the daytime, the property's actual lighting and landscape lighting are not captured naturally.
